dimethicone crosspolymer
what it is
Dimethicone chains cross-linked into a three-dimensional network — INCI name Dimethicone Crosspolymer. Swollen with the formula's light oils, it behaves as a soft gel rather than a fluid.
why we use it
It gives the sunscreen its cushioned, non-watery texture, and it does structural work: the gel network helps hold zinc oxide particles evenly suspended so they cannot settle or clump between uses. It also leaves a soft, slightly matte finish that wears well in humid weather.
where you'll find it
In our mineral sunscreen (SPF 50+ PA++++), in the silicones group (8.25% total). Per-ingredient percentages within the sunscreen groups are not yet published; the group totals are exact.

Functional — suspension stability and sensory feel, both verified in stability and application testing rather than asserted.
safety
